At Bergen Museum, The Naturalhistory Collections you will find one of the largest exhibits in the world of whale skeletons. The exhibit was produced at the end of the 1800`s and beginning of the 1900`s. Today it comprice of 22 skeletons and 3 crania of whales. A total of 18 whale species are represented which make out most of the species found in the North Atlantic.
The sceletons are exhibited in two different halls over a total of about 300 m2, and is an impressive site for visitors. Eleven skeletons are over 5 m long whith the bluewhale skeleton as the longest whith it`s 24 m length.
