THE FUND

Carvings and runes on a bare rock face at the farm Kårstad, Stryn, Sogn og Fjordane, Western Norway. The rock carvings were discovered among the stones of a retaining wall on the road. The rocks on the road were blown up and the stones transported to the Museum.
